The world has gone mad, and so has this virus. Due to a lot of jobs closing down, us social distancing ourselves from friends, and most of us even families, it will get tough. So I wanted to share with you all the things you can do while you are away from people.
If the virus infects you, please take care of yourself and stay home as much as you can. If you are going for any reason, make sure you are wearing a mask and stay away from people at least 10 feet away.
While you might be homes and probably bored out of your mind, here are a few things you can do and entertain yourself and maybe the kids you may have at home.
Learn a new language
You remember back in high school when you wanted to learn Spanish, french, german, or any language? Well, now is the perfect time to start learning while you are isolated from the world. You can use Duolingo and learn any language you want for free, even High Valyrian (for the Game of Thrones Fans). You have all this free time to get started, and who knows, by the times you get back to healthy living, you have learned a full language fluently.
Read more books
Grab that book that you’ve been dying to read. Thankfully for Christmas, my best friend got me the new Cara Alwill Leyba “Girl On Fire book.” So now, I am going to read it until who knows when and learn a few things or two. If you can, order a book online, and hopefully, it ships out. Amazon is picky about what they are shipping out, so make sure it’s worth it.
Think about yourself
Tell people you love them
It’s always a good reminder to let people know you love them and are thinking about them. Call them and see how they are doing during this crazy time. If they don’t pick up, leave them a voicemail instead of a text message to make it more meaningful.
Take a relaxing bath
There is nothing more than self-care, so take care of your body and face. By that, I mean light up some candles, play some music, and get into your bubble bath. Relax for a few minutes, have some wine, or whatever you enjoy sipping on.
If you have any other advice on how to get through this dreadful wait, leave them in the comments below.
