Over the weekend, I started a social media detox, meaning turning off all of my social media notifications and deleted some apps. Nowadays everyone is on and my phone does not blowing up with notifications and messages. Although I am home on quarantine, I still don’t want to be on my phone 24/7. I still have a lot to do from home and social media is not one of them.
Now I will continue doing this since I did see a benefit from it. I noticed I was more connected with my businesses, I’m talking to my friends and family, and learning more about myself, plus a good skincare routine.
Most people think that social media detox is because you are depressed with your life and need help. But that is not the case all the time. Some people simply don’t want to be on social media all the time because it’s time costuming.
This is what I learned from it
I value my time a lot more than I did before. Now during this quarantine, I am spending more time with my family vs being on phone. I am spending time working on my business and working out at home which is nothing new to me. I always liked working from home and working out.
I am more focused on what I do. I noticed myself being able to focus on listening more to books and not get distracted. I am more focused on projects that I am currently working on. Although some are at a halt due to the virus.
Being able to find me
I always take the weekend to meditate and learn something new about myself. I listen to books like Secret Millionaire Mindset, Girl Code, Like She Owns The Place and other books I love reading/listening too. These books have helped me find a part of me that I didn’t know existed. So taking this time.
Created new projects
Lately, I have been working really hard on projects with different companies and other things I want to do for myself. So I took that time and focus really hard one what I wanted to do. Now I am going to be launching soon, so stay tuned for that.
